About
My name is Ella Jean
Ella is a singer-songwriter and music producer from Calgary. She moved to the UK at 18 to pursue comedy and writing but returned as a musician influenced by UK Garage and psychedelic rock. In 2022, she moved back to the sacred gathering ground of Moh’kins’tsis (Calgary) and found work by day in climate activism. Her variety of sad girl rock songs and poppy-gay new wave beats are influenced by Peaches, Reggie Watts, Lily Allen, Joni Mitchell and Georgia Anne Muldrow.
